The very first cask to be filled at Auchroisk when distilling began on 15th January 1974, this cask has been kept back for many years for its character and its rarity. Remarkably rich and spicy, with fruity aromas and smooth flavours. The Prima & Ultima 2nd Release has been personally hand-selected by Master of Malts Maureen Robinson; "After 47 years I find this unrepeatable bottling, which is also this year’s oldest Prima & Ultima release, something of a miracle. It is the very first Auchroisk, the oldest ever bottled. The only opportunity you may ever have to drink a single malt whisky this mature, from the first cask filled on the distillery’s first day.”
